After having two other companies out , I then had a friend recommend them. A father and son team Stuart and James came to my property. Their advice was informative and relatable. I asked them to do the work, which was done perfectly. It's a shame I can only give them 10/10. Would like to thank James and Stuart for all their help with my property I’ve recently bought.  I called Stuart to ask if he would  come and inspect the property due to the floors feeling spongey and signs of fungus when I had ripped out the old kitchen. From the beginning, Stuart was very transparent, providing a full report and thoroughly explaining recommended treatments needed - dry rot, wet rot and woodworm.
It was at first a bit of a shock and quite daunting thinking the house needed this much doing to it but Stuart completely put my mind at ease with his expertise. James came to do all the treatments this week and worked so hard to rectify all the problems inside the property, and also completed a damp course for preventative measures before renovating starts. If you have the misfortune to have dry rot you need this company behind you.Stuart is honest and upfront from the start. Free no obligation call out, felt comfortable from the start.Followed up by a very detailed email for work and costs.Patiently explained all possible outcomes(dry rot is unpredictable and costs can go up) He knows what he's talking about!Stuart and James worked like demons and consulted at every step.Old Victorian house ,Stuart matched and replaced the victorian skirting boards too.
Not only that I've I've never seen a cleaner "building mess" absolutely superb service.Brilliant company.
Also the plasterer that is subcontracted by StuartA Star plastering, Ryan,was excellent.

Stu from NWDR came to the house and quickly identified the cause of the problems we were experiencing. He was friendly, polite and explained in straightforward terms what the cause of the problem. He also advised how we could simply address the issue ourselves without the need for any  intervention from NWD or any other specialist. It was clear he had a depth of professional experience and everything he said made perfect sense. Further, he did not charge anything for this advice. We would absolutely recommend Stuart and the team at NWDR.

We unfortunately had a bad case of dry rot in the subfloor of a recently renovated kitchen-diner area. Stuart was able to minimise disruption to affected area even propping up work tops and making sure everything could be installed back quickly.

We had another company come to survey and quote for the work who genuinely seemed gleeful when advising that all the joists and floorboards would have to be replaced, without even having a proper look in the sub floor.

Stuart came and used a camera to firstly identify the problem and then advised sensibly that they would only need to expose, treat and replace a proportion of the area and were confident it could be treated and solved with minimal disruption. They clearly know their stuff and their work is insurance backed with guarantees issued.

10/10 - ahead of time, exactly to budget - and a very high standard of work. Reliably and swiftly fixed a wet rot issue precisely as planned. Other firms quoted us double the price and for unnecessary extra work (be careful of false diagnoses from the larger companies).
