Timber Resin Repairs

Timber resin repair system is one of our main repair methods used for large timber sections. In most cases, timber beams or roof truss ends are affected by water penetration and this creates perfect conditions for wood destroying fungi to germinate and deteriorate the timber. Once timber is affected by rot, it is only a matter of time before it loses its structural integrity and requires to be replaced or repaired. Our Timber Resin Repair System is a cost-effective solution as we only require to repair the affected part of the structure avoiding replacement of the whole timber beam and associated floor and ceiling fabric.

Resin is largely favoured for structural timber repairs because it is a localised repair and it reduces the fabric required to be repaired and therefore saves costs. It is non-porous, so it is completely impenetrable by water preventing any further damage to the repair. The repaired structure is strengthened with steel rods and covered with resin to match the existing structure. If we decide that resin repair isn’t the best course of action for the job at hand, we will specify the most cost effective and efficient solution to repair the structure.
